These are simple, everyday studs that are definitely silver - I'm allergic to anything else so they're definitely legit. The posts aren't too long - they won't dig in when you sleep - and the butterfly backs are nice and tight without being impossible to put on.The most interesting thing is, the company who makes them included a card in the package and it had some really great, fun jewellery advertised on it - the first time I've actually looked at any of the ads I get in Amazon orders. I'll definitely check out the company as their other stuff looks great too
